Yes, thanks control g worked and let's me be specific about which page instead 
having to go down a page at a time.

  Control plus pagedown will repeat a "find" if you have used the control plus 
f function already in that particular session of Word. It's done this in every 
version of Word I've used.

  You can get around this by closing and re-opening your document.

  Or, and this still works for me in Word 2007, try using control plus g to get 
to the "go to page" option. Type in any number and press enter. This seems to  
reset the control pagedown keystroke to its original function of going to the 
next page.
