Yes, I know about those weak moments. I often order more books from NLS or RFB&D than I can possibly read because they sound interesting and I underestimate how much time it will take to read them. Also, I just like having lots of books around. The great thing about Bookshare is that I can get anything I think that sounds interesting, it takes up almost no space, and it doesn't need to be returned. The only downside - for those of us brought up on paper or taped books - is that you don't have the pleasure of being surrounded by books you can touch. Isn't life hard in this modern world? <grin> ----- Original Message ----- From: Katie Star To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, May 28, 2006 9:30 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Is There A Problem with the Kurzweil Book? Hi, No there wasn't a problem. I have a couple of things in my validation queue and after downloading it I decided between those and the books that Monica sent me that I better just release it. It's the kind of book that a number of people may be interested in reading. A weak moment. I know she is on this list, so I thought I would ask Kaitlyn Hill if there was a problem with "The Singularity Is Near". If I understand the comment history on Step One, she had it for a little over three minutes and returned it, but gave no reason. I would like to validate this and add it to the collection, but I really don't have time to read through it entirely. But if she found a problem with it, perhaps I can straighten it out quickly and get it on the admin queue if the scan looks good overall. I wonder if a Kurzweil was used to scan the Kurzweil book? <smile>
