I'm wrong! John says that the problem has been fixed. Please download
American Gods again, and try it. It should be okay now.

Off hand, does anyone know, or is there a list of these recently added
publisher submitted books mentioned aa having the navigational problems?

I ask, because, on Sunday I downloaded and opened, both with my Kurzweil v.
11 and with my FS Reader program a book called American Gods that was
recommended to me. The book starts off with a note about the book being
directly transferred to Daisy by the publisher, and says about some players
perhaps not playing properly. And indeed, on both of the above named
programs, the book's navigational headers, or bookmarks, do not work right.
There are multiple levels but you can't go there with either player, it just
jumps to the top of file, to the regular bookshare beginning authority
warnings, etc.

Thanks.
Rik

The publisher is initially donating 1000 of their books. It's taken a while
to work out the kinks (and there are a few big kinks yet to be fixed, but
Engineering is working on them). If this all goes well, we're hoping that
they will donate more books, and that other publishers will get on the
bandwagon too. We can but dream!

Oh, I hope it wasn't one-time. I really enjoyed the publisher quality books.

Opening them in my web browser was different, but I liked having the links
to various sections of the books etc.

So, I sure hope we haven't seen the last of publisher quality books.
