Aww… Thanks so much, Cindy! The first few days, Mom got excellent care. From
Monday on, it was downhill. Her doctor doesn’t have privileges at this
hospital, so she was at the mercy of whoever happened to be in charge for the
week, in this case, a doctor who cared more about moving on to the next patient
than answering questions or tending to Mom. But she’s home now, as of like
11:00 last night, and she’s just resting today. She has awesome home care, so
I’m getting some much-needed rest, too. J <Smile> But I appreciate your note
SO much… Have a great weekend!

Jana, I'm sorry to hear about your mom, but glad it's not you, and believe me,
your time staying there with her is well spent. when I left my dad alone in the
hospital for just a short while, he developed a bedsore on his foot because
the nurses didn't pay attention to the fact that he was diabetic; he almost
lost his foot and, though he didn't, a long stay in a nursing home (where I
visited every day to be sure he was well taken care of and nothing else
happened, resulted.

Jakes’s daughter, Sarah, as soon as I can get home and back to my scanner! My
mom has been in the hospital since last Thursday, so I’ve been spending just
about every waking moment with her, making sure she was treated well. I’m
exhausted, but I’d just love to read this book ASAP! <Smile> Thanks!
