Hi Gary,

 

Not to worry-Bookshare has all the original scans. No matter how badly
someone hoses your book, the original can be put back.

That was my first thought.  And I was surprised because I had both checked
and read the books in question.  I still have the fixed-up scans and can
recheck and submit if they feel it's necessary.

The wording indicates to me that there are so many problems that it does not
appear to have been proofread. Might there have been a working copy and a
raw downloaded copy and the wrong one was checked in? I don't know, but it
looks like it is being requested that the entire proofreading be done again
from start to finish.
