Hello Everyone, Before I get started, please keep in mind that I am by no means this list's moderator, I recognize that and am just providing some ideas for what they may be worth to those in charge. One idea for controlling list traffic might be to modify the list configuration so that replies to messages automatically go directly back to the individual who sent the message rather than the list's address. If a reply were intended for the entire list, the person would then need to make a special effort to include the list's address in the To or CC line. Another idea might be to create a separate list for general chat within the Bookshare volunteer community. In such a scenario, a new list called, perhaps, bksvol-chat, would be created with pretty much an "anything goes" level of moderation. After that's up and running for a couple of weeks, the moderators of this list would tighten the reins, indicating that bksvol-discuss is really intended for topics directly relevant to volunteering with Bookshare.org. Whatever steps are taken, we all must not offend anyone and also must show great appreciation for all who scan and validate books for this project. Without all of you, we blind / visually impaired readers would have nothing to read. Please keep up the excellent work! Darrell Shandrow - Accessibility Evangelist Michele Y.
