[bksvol-discuss] I need help

I downloaded A Complicated Kindness, a .doc file I've
saved it as a Word file and also as an rtf. file; I've
copied the whole file onto a new Word document;it
seems that no matter what I do it crashes injust a few
minutes when I start working on it.
Of course I can release it, and probably will. There
was some reason that I took it rather than leaving it
for someone else, though I can't remember what it
was--maybe because I could get the book.
But what is wrong? I seem to remember having this
problem once before, but I thought I resolved it by
copying and pasting it to a fresh Word document and
now that isn't working. Someone in the library told me
that there's probably some unseen commands that won't
transfer over to my Macintosh version of Word.
Any suggestions or explanations?
