Always with love,

The simplest thing might be to change the default view to the list view with
the synopses if that's the more useful one. We'll check up on that.

  Thanks,

  Pavi

  Hi Monica and all,

It looks like there are two view options on the new books page.

The default is table view, changing that to list view will give you the
synopses back.

You'll find the list view option just below the donate now link on the New
books page...

  Hope this helps

  Dave

It's a split for me because I really like having the download link on the
same page as the book list. I wanted that feature. I do want to see a short
synopsis too though. I want both, not an either or deal. I don't want to open a
books individual page unless I want more details about it.

I think the jury is still out on the new site, but I also miss the short
synopsis.

Why have both a short and long synopsis if they are going to appear
together on the book information page?--Makes no sense.

In the past I'd use the short synopses on the "new books" page to determine
whether or not I wanted to do further investigation. But, I'm not going to
bring up a new screen for a book unless I really think I want to read it, as
that could take a long time.

As I said in the beginning, I think the jury is still out on the new
site--they still have problems so I think we should give them time to work some
of those out. I do wish they had asked us what we thought about the layout
before surprising us with it. After all, we might have some ideas of our own.

I don't like the new bookshare site. I miss the short synopsis appearing
on the browse books page. Why on earth was that taken away.
