Speaking on this subject. Is there a good braille-reading program for the PC? I will probably be giving up my BrailleNote in the next year or two, and I really do not want to convert/redownload everyth from Web-Braille and Bookshare.

Hi Amber,

Well, I don't know if what you're seeing is how a brf book
opened in
Kurzweil is supposed to look, but they look the same to me when I
have tried
to open them using Kurzweil version 11. And they did take
forever to open
them that way. I'm thinking that Kurzweil can translate braille,
but
probably isn't the best application for opening that format.

Just my not-enough-coffee thinks though.

Mayrie

Can someone tell me how to open .brf books in Kurzweil V. 11? I
do it with
just the open command it takes forever and the file shows up on
one page,
not with distinct page numbers or page breaks. Is there
something I'm doing
wrong or is this how it's supposed to look?
