E,

If you mean that you're downloading a DAISY file through a browser,
creating an HTML file when unpacking it with the Bookshare's Unpack utility,
and opening up the HTML file in K-1000 and converting to RTF, then I don't
see how the page breaks would be there since HTML doesn't support page
breaks.

Are you sure you don't mean DAISY instead of HTML? If you are downloading
the DAISY file through K-1000 and converting to RTF, then I believe that
preserves the page breaks because K-1000 can find the page break info in
the NCX file, but drops the page numbers due to a diffence in how Bookshare
and KESI stores the page number info in that same file. BTW, downloading
the DAISY file through a browser, opening it up in K-1000 and converting to
RTF would give the same results since the only difference is how you
download the book.

Gerald

Gerald, if I download a html file and save it to rtf in kurzweil, my
experience is that page breaks stay in. What am I missing?
I do this to read a book from the collection in rtf on my
brailllenote all the time and page breaks have stayed in.
