Hi,
I just got Office 2007 here at work and I think that disconnected whatever
Windows thought of as the XML editor, so these instructions are nice to have.

Thanks.

Hi Evan. That's true for some people but not for others. I'm glad things are
running smoothly for you. For some reason, many of our users are getting xml
files loading in programs like Word or Front Page. Others get a message that
Windows doesn't know how to open the file. So this is my attempt to help people
in these situations who want to read books in their browser. I think people who
have later versions of Microsoft Office and/or Internet Explorer 6 are
particularly affected. I'm very glad this issue isn't impacting you.

Hmmm, I may have missed this thread. But when I unzip the Daisy file, I get
eight files. Then, I just hit enter on the file with the xml extension and it
automatically opens in IE. That's all there is to it in my experience.

Hi everyone. Many of you have been asking questions about how to get your
Bookshare books to open in your web browser. I've seen a lot of questions about
this on other lists too. I've written some instructions and put them on my blog
so you can share them easily with friends who aren't on this list. Though I use
Internet Explorer for my example, the same technique works in Firefox and Opera
as well. The post is available at
