Hi Evan, and welcome to the asylum for deranged perfectionists, as this list
has sometimes been called. <grin>
About maps, the main thing is to deal with them if the scan results in pages of
goblety-gook--removing all those junk characters. Bookshare wouldn't make an
issue of it, but readers really appreciate that courtesy. Other than that, if
you want to make a caption and/or leave text that scanned all right, that's
totally fine.
