The downloaded Daisy file is a zip file, so the first thing you need to do
is extract. Should be on the file menu if you use Microsoft. Once extracted,
you'll have a list of a number of files, it's the .xml file you want to
click on. It will then open in IE.
If you have an IPhone, the VoiceDream reader app is also directly connected
to BookShare, so once your user name and password are entered, you can
download books directly. Voice Dream enables you to pick from a bunch of
different voices, so you're not stuck with the phone's rather monotonous
voice.

You can read books in the web reader on a laptop. You can also use any of
various DAISY players. FSReader is free to anybody who owns JAWS; I'm not
sure about obtaining it otherwise.

Hey Guys,
I read all my Bookshare books on my Pac Mate, so I always get the brf files.
I want to take a look at a book on my laptop, but I have no idea as to how
to do that. I presume I need the Daisy Text version, but what do I need to
open it? I know how to do this on my Book Sense, which has built in software
for reading Bookshare books. Do I need to install something to read them on
my PC?
