Most people on this list know about the holds, but remember, not all volunteers are on this bookshare mailing list! So, it is best to contact the taker privately. It is usually the new volunteers. I know, I had that mistake when I grabbed my first book. I know, it is written specifically on the page, that the holds are not supposed to be taken, but when I was new, my screenreader totally blotted that out.! It just skipped reading it and went right to the table and I didn't go back and ahead of it to see as I assumed that the main thing starts here. Someone who I mistakenly had the book of contacted me privately and told me that's what it says, and then, I went back to the check out page and ignored my screenreader reading from what it thinks is the main thing or what it calls landmark/regions which is your semicolon key for jaws and it announces main landmark/region for the new update and went couple lines before that and here I saw and realized that I should have seen it before. Sometimes, it's just a matter of screenreaders, at least to me. Well, I don't get along with my screenreader. So, it's just me. Then, I released it and apologized to the contact person. This one was nice enough to understand. To my real point, it is always best to contact the person who took it privately, as they may not have taken it on purpose or in a matter of being bad or anything. So, just a point. You know? Thank you. Yes, I have books for hold for me and I understand how it feels when somebody randomly grabs your book, but I just like to think about the opposite side as well as they may not have purposely done it. You know? Thanks! On 5/29/13, Roger Loran Bailey <rogerbailey81@xxxxxxx> wrote: > # > I think most everyone on this list knows about holds.
