Well, I don't know about others, but it seems to me that the best way to
deal with my email is to read and respond to it in the order that it arrived.
I suppose I could make my way through all of it and save the ones I had a
reply for, but that would tend to tax my memory and give me a problem keeping
ttrack of them. The result is that often I reply to a message and a few
more messages down the queue I see that someone has already made the same reply
I did. Or, I might ask a question and read a few messages and find out that
someone has already answered it. Yes, that makes for redundant posts and it
is another thing that keeps the list traffic high, but it seems to me that
it would be asking too much to have everyone read everything in their in box
before replying to anything.

I like to know what people are scanning and what's being added to the
wishlist.
However, I think that books that were just approved into the collection,
not
including John's daily list, could be forwarded to just Cindy and Judy.
Assuming that's all right with them, of course.
There is one trend I've noticed that seems to be diminishing and I wanted
to
say thank you to y'all for that.
Often times, when someone asks a question, several people reply with the
same information. This doesn't seem to be happening as much anymore which
is a great thing.

Agree 100%, Mary. I joined the volunteer list, because I was interested
in volunteering, not general discussion. To me, volunteering discussion
involves all of these things you mention. Other than Cindy, Carrie, and
the volunteers who include their emails in the comments sections of
books they've submitted, I have no other way of contacting other
volunteers about volunteer related issues. I feel that things like book
recommendations, ETC belong on the bookshare discuss list.
