White space or whitespace refers to the blank (white) area between written characters or graphic regions.

It may also refer to:

a.. White space (visual arts), or negative space, the portions of a page left unmarked b.. White spaces (radio), radio frequencies allocated to broadcast transmissions but not assigned to a local broadcaster c.. Whitespace (computer science), characters used to represent white space in text d.. Whitespace (programming language), an esoteric programming language whose syntax consists only of spaces, tabs and new lines e.. White Space (Process improvement and management), the area between the boxes in an organizational map, often an area where no one is responsible.

Ok, I saw Mayrie mention something about this, but can someone please explain more about it. I do run across it from time to time and have just overlooked.

Thanks,
Lori
