Hi Kristin,
I'd like to suggest that you spend some time reading the section in the new
proofing manual called "Chapter Headings". The manual is here:

and it addresses your question. Specifically, section 2, where it says:
2. The chapter number and name must be on one line to aid navigation.
So, in your case, put a colon after the chapter number, followed by a space.
Than delete any paragraph marks between "Chapter 3" and "The Bait" so that the
whole thing is on one line.
The whole line should be 16 points and bold.
Read the rest of the section on chapter headings to see how to handle the
titles that are more than 65 characters.

Hopefully everyone is having a great day here at BKS! Say I am
currently working on Rogers new summission of TERRORS OF THE FOREST
and really enjoying it! Sorry you had such a problem with your other
book you were scanning and I hope you can find it since I just
finished one of your westerns for the approval list. Okay here's my
question for you guys of I can see there are little titles after the
chapter headings like for example it goes chapter 3 then this other
title of "THE BAIT". When formatting, I understand to put the heading
in 16 point font along with it being bolded too. My question is am I
suppose to be formatting the other little title a certain way? If so
does anyone know how to do it according to BKS standards? Like do they
want it bolded, in quotes, or underlined and am I suppose to use a
certain type of font like 12, 16, ect? Any help would be greatly
appreciated and I do hope you guys are having a great day! Thanks for
all of your help here and I will talk to all of you later!
