Hi Kristin,

It can be done either way. The only requirement is that the page number be on a line by itself, and the line with the page number must be either the first non-blank line on the page, or the last non-blank line on the page.

For example:

page break
page number
text
page break

is fine.

so is:
page break
blank line
page  number
text
page break

and so is:

page break
text
page number
page break

and so is:

page break
blank line
text
page number
blank line

These are all OK, and all kinds of variations on these are fine. The key is that page number be on a line by itself, and either be the first non-blank line or the last non-blank line on a page.

Hope that helps! smile.

Hey there bookshare team members!
Hopefully everyone is having a good Friday afternoon! I apologize for all of the questions here lately however I strive to do good work and when I make mistakes I would like to improve so my books can be accepted the first time. Anyway, one of the areas that I'm struggling with here is page breaks and page numbers. I have two books from the same author of TRICIA O'MALLEY and loving both of them. I'm noticing in the original scan that the page numbers go like this of blank line, the actual page number of the book, another blank line, and than a new page break within the book. When I was a volunteer five years ago, it was two lank lines, than a page break along with the page number of the book on the page break and lastly two more blank lines followed the page break. My question is should I be doing the page numbers like the first way or doing them the second way that I described in this post? Any help with this stuff of page numbers would be greatly appreciated and I do hope everyone is having a great day! Thanks for all of your help here lately and I do hope everyone will have a great weekend!
Thanks,
Kristin E. Mills
