Jazz plays an important role in the heritage and life of this country and has had a significant impact worldwide, bringing joy to people of all ages. April 9th , 2010 marks the inauguration of Jazz Day, established last year by the U.S. Conference of Mayors as a specific day during Jazz Appreciation Month to build awareness and celebrate the rich heritage of jazz as an historic and living American art form. In 2001, The Smithsonian launched Jazz Appreciation Month. It has since grown to include celebrations in all 50 states and 40 countries which promote the joys, power, and glories of this living treasure. -------------------------------- "To me, music that breaks your heart is the music that stays with you forever. It's one thing to be melancholy and one thing to be sophisticated, but when you get the two of them together in a way people can relate to, then I think you're on to something. You want the sophistication to lie in the purity of the sound, the beauty of the arrangements, and the quality of the performances."-Trumpeter Chris Botti -------------------------------- Chela Robles E-Mail: cdrobles693@xxxxxxxxx Skype: jazzytrumpet WindowsLive Messenger: cdrobles693@xxxxxxxxxxx Facebook Profile: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?ref=profile&id=690550695 Cell: 1-925-250-5955 --------------------------------
