Hi, Monica! I would imagine that Tom is right, and you'll need to delete
those pictures. If that doesn't help, your only option would be to e-mail
the book to Gustavo, Janice, or Carrie... someone who is in-house. Gustavo
would probably be the best person for the job. His e-mail is

I'm sure that he can upload it for you and make sure that you get the

Hi Monica, How many pages are in the book? That seems to be very very large! A 300 page book is some where around two megs. If I were you maybe someone can tell you if there are indeed pictures in the file, if so I would delete them and put a note to that effect in the notes. Tom

Hi. I worked on my first validation yesterday, and I ran into a situation that I'm not sure how to cope with. The book in question is The Princess Within by Serita Ann Jakes. When I unzipped the Microsoft Word file, it proved to be around 39 MB in size. When I loaded the book into Word, it appeared to have an empty table at the top of the document. It appears to have a lot of hidden text or pictures. I converted it to rtf, did a complete spellcheck, and then tried zipping and submitting the book. It was around 2.9 MB zipped, still much larger than the normal Bookshare format. It kept timing out, even very late at night. An attempt to convert it to text removed the page breaks so that the book was rejected. I am stumped! Does anyone have an idea of what I might try next? The book is in excellent condition, and I don't want to see it languish on the download page because of my confusion.
