Dear Jake,
That's wonderful news! Guess I should spend less time grazing among the books and more time keeping current with the home page.
I didn't expect such a quick reply and now I know how to plan my day. On Saturday afternoon I'll only be in to people wearing wizard's robes!
I read HP fanfic, too, but spend most of my fanfic time reading about hobbits.
I'm going to pass on the news. Thank you again and many thanks to who ever will be getting the book ready for us. !
Always Turning Pages,
Hey Lissi, Actually RFB&D will not have Half Blood Prince until the Monday following the Saturday release, at least that's what the original press release said. You must have missed the BookShare announcement a while back. It's still on the home page, down below the conference and search news items. BookShare has promised to have Half Blood Prince up by Saturday afternoon, just like they did with Order of the Phoenix (less than 12 hours after publication).
Definitely couldn't ask for much more, although Gustavo, how about some site stats after that day? How many BookShare subscribers login and download HPHBP on its release date? Anybody up for a pool on the numbers? *grin*
I'm actually off to read some HP Fan fiction now...
Cheers!
Jake

Dear Volunteers,
I loved the first 3 HP books. Though the deaths in the fourth and fifth books really upset me, I can't help myself about wanting to know how the story continues in the upcoming sixth volume.
Thanks to National Braille Press, I could afford to buy the first 5 books in the series in paper braille and have prepaid to receive, HP and theBlood Prince. It takes a few weeks for NBP to produce and mail out thepaperofbraille editions. I read that Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic is having a marathon volunteer session to make it available within 24 hoursit's official midnight release. I didn't invest in becoming a subscribertothatrecorded books because Book Share has such a wealth of choices to augment NLS offerings, I can't read fast enough now and I'm so happily occupiedquicklyinvesting in another book source seems absurd right now unless I can get a time turner like Hermione in HP and fit more hours in the day.
I am writing to ask if any of you know if book share has plans to make a special project of preparing Harry Potter and the Half Blood Princeso we can listen to it, or in my case, transfer it to read in braille onmyIfbraille note, soon after its release. I know I could pre order the unabridged audio version and collect it at midnight with the other HP enthusiasts, but I enjoy books so much more when I read them in braille.it means waiting to read it in braille first, I'll gladly do it. However,Ihad to ask. It would be fun to participate in the frenzied discussionsthatrealistically.abound when the excited Rowlings fans get the book and often stay up all night reading it.
This question wasn't meant to be pushy or demanding. I'm so grateful for book share's huge selection of books I can now read in braille. I was just curious and wanted to know so I can imagine the release date
Always With Love,
Lissi
