Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Hard to scan books with a broken hip

Hi Gang,

I don't know if anybody has noticed, but I haven't been sending in any books lately. About a month ago while on vacation with my kids and grandkids I slipped off the curb and got my foot caught between a car tire and the curb ending in a broken hip. I was taken care of there in Palm Springs Eisenhower hospital by one of the best speciealists. However after coming back home it popped out twice again. So the bottom line is that I am having it replaced again this Friday and hope all goes well. It might be a few weeks yet before I can scan a book, I'll have to just find out. If I can do it without twisting my body it will work, but you have to be careful the first few weeks. Anyway, that's my tale of woe. Tune in soon for the next chapterr of "how the hip turns."

Keep scanning and adding to a very great cause.

Regards to all.
