Hi, Sue. There are a lot of people who get the brf files from Bookshare and Web Braille who can hear audio. The reason the Stream will help Braille users is that it can read those files now, so Braille users no longer have to get the daisy files from Bookshare if they want to use the Stream. Until now, if you wanted to read a Bookshare file on both your BrailleNote and the Stream, you had to download both the brf and daisy formats of that book. That is a sort of cumbersome process. Now Bookshare users can download the brf files from Bookshare and use them on the Stream if they're in the mood to listen instead of read. It saves space on our memory cards for both the Stream and Book Port because Braille files are smaller than daisy ones. So sometimes people like me who don't own a Braille device download the brf files too. -- Monica Willyard Visit my blog at http://www.scannersguild.com To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
