Shelley's book about the Black Stallion made me realize that this is a good
time for books about horses.
The Kentucky Derby will be run today at 6:00 EDT. From what I remember, the
Preakness will follow in three weeks, with the Belmont Stakes two weeks
after that.

The series about Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry
Fern Michael's Kentucky series: Kentucky Rich, Kentucky Heat, and Kentucky

There's bound to be some more on Bookshare, but this is all I could think of
off the top of my head.
