Valerie, I'm having the same problem here in the frozen north of Wisconsin! Bookshare is FREE for students and I still can't get teachers or our librarians to even look at it. I just don't get it.

I got ticked off with out local school and our local library, and called the president of our local PTA who happens to work as a childhood development specialist for disabled children. grin. Even she had to go in with guns blazing to get the schools to even look at the program.

So maybe the trick is spread the news to a local PTA, or to clinics that have childhood development specialists? Just thinking out loud here.

Believe it or not, I cannot get these rural Mississippi parents to read with
their kids, let alone use a computer with them. I have only converted a
half a dozen teachers to BookShare and its FREE! They all think it is too
much work. Sigh. I am working on people, but it is an excruciatingly slow
process here...

Thanks!
Valerie
