Sandi has her first scan in the collection! Woohoo! Sandi did a fine job on
her first scan, except for the software wreaking havoc on paragraphs, something
we hope to figure out sooner than later. I will search out a couple more easy
scans for her to try adjusting settings on, but I am tickled with her
enthusiasm and patience in troubleshooting.
The two books Sandi started with were books Nichole brought home from ALA, and
Chance and the Butterfly is a well written youth story about a third grade boy
in foster care and how we all need something to call our own, even if it is not
really "ours". I am working on the paragraph issue for "Somebody's Girl", its
sequel, and Nichole is excited to read both!
