I would also prefer the list, but would there be a way for the moderator, in this case Marissa, to warn people if things stray too much off topic a couple of times and then just ban them from the list if they don't adhere to that policy. I'm on many mailing lists and several of them keep a pretty tight ship to cut down on the number of messages one has to go through each day. If worse came to worst, I suppose she could have the messages go through her first and then only allow those to go on the list that pertain to books and scanning, etc. I know many people enjoy tooting their own horn or perhaps seeing their comments or knowing that many others are reading them, but I would not miss having so many off topic messages. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lisa Leonardi" <lml5280@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, December 30, 2004 11:40 AM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: From List-serve to Discussion Board? > Hi Marissa. > > For the record, this is only my personal opinion but since you asked for > feedback on the discussion board issue, I thought I'd provide it.
