Hey, Gary,

Here's the direct link to the volunteer page: https://www.bookshare.org/cms/get-involved/volunteer/my-volunteer-home. Just like before, you must be logged in first to get there, so login to Bookshare, then go to this link and you'll be on the volunteer home page. Let me know if it doesn't work. smile.

I have been spending more time with this page. Time I could have well spent on a book. I can now report that NVDA with MSIE 11 doesn't even report a volunteer link and I've gone through that login page more than once. That's two screen readers which don't work and one browser. It would seem to me that one would actively have had to avoid finding this out. Btw, I loaded NVDA and logged in. Then I religiously tabbed through Every link and heard nothing that said volunteer home or even volunteer. And I have half a dozen books within one or two pages of being submitable.

People use different methods to navigate websites with their screen reading
software.
As I said in another email, I rarely use "list of links" to navigate; I use
headings, lists, fields, and edit boxes. With this site, however, I
remembered about "list of links" and that works.

However, I too wonder why the items are listed at the top without being
links; that's not a complaint; it's a question.
And, I, too, wonder what the need was to change the website so drastically and to cause everyone, members and volunteers, to learn a whole new site.
That's not a complaint, it's a valid question.
And be assured, I don't have time to futz around.

Hi Sue,

Naw, I didn't wake up grumpy, just a bit miffed at people who complain
without reason. That doesn't include you, my friend. You have a
legitimate gripe. I don't know why the links don't work for you in
WE, they work find here. I haven't texted them with Jaws, but I may
have time this weekend.
