[bksvol-discuss] Footnotes and Sidebars

I enjoy reading nonfiction, and I proofread a good bit of it. However, I have
sent several back to the checkout page because I don't know the best way of
handling footnotes and sidebars, especially when they come in the middle of
sentences, and when there are two or more on the page! Could somebody who has
done it and is comfortable with it please send a description of the best way to
handle these things?
