Hi all,Actually, you're supposed to number footnotes consecutively. It is conceivable that there would be 80 footnotes in a chapter if there were say 30 pages and five or six footnotes per page. What should be is that the number for the footnote be in the text where it occurs, and then the footnote would be at the bottom of the page. However, I think your method is fine so long as you keep the numbering consecutive. That way, somebody could actually find a footnote if they needed it.
