It has been a long time since//I've done a non-fiction book with footnotes.
What is the current preferred formatting for footnotes. This book only has
the footnotes with an asterisk or two in the text and then the actual
footnote starts with an asterisk at the bottom of the page.
Do I leave the asterisks as they are or are they subscripted? Is the actual
footnote enclosed in brackets or something else.
