Hi, Melissa, Kim here. I saw this method for pagination in a math book when
I was in fourth, fifth, or sixth grade (sorry, can't remember which).

I don't believe that this is the standard for Braille. The majority of
Braille books I read have roman numerals for preliminary pages and Arabic
numbers for the main pages of the book. I have seen a few with the P
preceding the preliminary pages, though I definitely wouldn't call it the
standard.
