That's a whole lot of books you've contributed, and I know that you take on some of the really difficult ones to proofread. Thanks so much, Cindy, for all you've done and continue to do. smile.

I've kept a spreadsheet with info on the books that I've proofed. Over the years for me at least it's averaged out to a little over 200 pages per book. It's kind of neat to look back and see how many different types of books I've proofread. The longest book I've ever done was over 1000 pages, and the shortest were children's books that were around 20 pages long.

Thanks. that does help. The Narnia book I proofed did have my name at the bottom as a submitter; perhaps because it was put from the collection onto the queue for me to correct (many years ago so I was listed as submitter instead of proofer; hat's how I got the list of 28) I'm not sure where my list of 100 came from; maybe Madeleine or someone-sent it to me back July. Oh. I just realized that the list of 100 I was looking at was only one page of 4; so it seems that since 2005 I've proofed 504 books; not too bad; If i could figure the number of pages it would be a lot more, since quite a few had more than 500 (and some 800+ pages); and I scanned quite a few books in the early years of my retirement; that was fun, and, in a sense, more satisfying because I was fulfilling requests, and finding authors and their works of whom I'd never heard;
