I just had an interesting download experience when I downloaded a bunch of
similarly named books. The titles were all truncated to only a few
characters--I think 8. If the title is something like The History of the
English-Speaking Peoples: 1600-1800, it would be severely shortened and if
there were several volumes with only differing dates to set them apart, they
would all look the same. Since Windows, and I suspect, the Apple OS have the
capacity for longer filenames than this, what's the reason? Just wondering.
