Warriors is a series of fantasy novels written by
Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry, with their editor
Victoria Holmes,
under the pen name Erin Hunter, that follows the adventures of various wild
cats as they try to survive in their forest homes. The series is divided up
into three miniseries
with six books in each series. The first of these miniseries, usually referred
to as the Original Warriors, was published in 2003, beginning with the book
Into the Wild. The second series was written under the title Warriors: The New
Prophecy and published in 2005. The first book was called Midnight. The
first book of the third series Warriors: The Power of Three, The Sight, was
added to shelves on April 24, 2007.
Another book, Secrets of the Clans, was released early in 2007. This provides
information about the Clans never known before. Firestar's Quest was released
on August 21st, 2007.
Books:
Original Warriors Series
The first series follows the adventures of Rusty, a young house cat who is
taken into ThunderClan as an apprentice with the new name Firepaw. As the series
progresses, he earns a new name and he learns what being a Clan cat is all
about. Rusty, with his new warrior name, Fireheart, learns the true meaning
of loyalty, belonging, and friendship. He will call upon an unknown inner
strength, and witness heartbreaking experiences, along with heart-pounding
battles
and adventures across the lands of the four warrior Clans.

Warriors: The New Prophecy Series
The second series is centered around seven cats from all four different Clans;
the ThunderClan representative Brambleclaw (formerly known as Bramblepaw),
the ShadowClan representative Tawnypelt, the WindClan representative and
apprentice Crowpaw, the RiverClan representative Feathertail, Feathertail's
brother
Stormfur, the ThunderClan apprentice Squirrelpaw, and her sister, Leafpaw. As
the series progresses, six of the cats find a new home for their Clans and
guide them there. It also follows Leafpaw's life as a medicine cat apprentice.
It takes place roughly one year after The Darkest Hour. It takes a while
to get caught up on that one year, and the main character is no longer
Firestar, like in the original series, but told by the 3rd person viewpoint of
Brambleclaw
(Midnight, Starlight, Sunset), Squirrelpaw (Dawn, Twilight), Leafpaw (all),
Feathertail (Moonrise), and Stormfur (Moonrise) .
