Thank you so much for being patient with us as we worked on fixing the
volunteer Bookshare pages. The check in and check out pages are now currently
working again. The next release for the Bookshare website will be on March 8,
this will include the fix for the expiration date. I know this poses some
challenges for the next two and half weeks. Please be particularly courteous
to each other when you see books come back into the check out queue. It would
be helpful over the next couples of weeks to check the history of book and
connect with the previous proofreading volunteer to ensure they meant to
release the book before you check it out.
We are working on some exciting new updates for the Bookshare website, and some
of the work affected the volunteer pages. Part of those changes will continue
to effect the time it takes updates to show up in the status of books. For
example, if you are checking out a book it might not show up immediately on the
"My Checked Out Books" link, but it should appear there very shortly, roughly
1-2 minutes.
