Hi Jean, Gary is quite right. No need to put end note numbers in parentheses or brackets. At the end of the text please make sure that each note is a new paragraph and that there is a number before the note information. As for the notes themselves, The usual way they show up in a book should be clear enough since each note is its own "paragraph" and the notes for particular chapters usually have a chapter title separated by blank lines below and above.
