Hi My Friend, I definitely understand your lack of sleep. Please put the hold for Susan Lumpkin rather than Susan L as I think there is another Susan L as a volunteer and I’d really like to do your book! I look forward to receiving it. Hope you’re sleeping and I may try to do the same! There is a bonus here. You’re a friend, a volunteer of long standing, and your proofreading is fabulous. A perfectionist with an English degree! Who could ask for more? Last night was a long one. I only slept two hours at most. I’ll put up the book with a hold for Susan L after I try for a little morning catch-up sleep. Thanks so much for offering. I’d be glad to proof it for you. Hope no one else has gotten it. Happy proofing! Best Always, Susan From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Estelnalissi Sent: Sunday, October 13, 2013 9:02 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Elizabeth's Piano Lessons (Sweet Valley Kids #45 Dear Booksharian Friends, Especially Proofreaders, A couple of years ago I scanned the short book, about 72 pages, named above. Though I read through it, there are many mistakes I could have overlooked. All of the pages are numbered and present. Bookshare has hundreds of Sweet Valley books but apparently not this one. If you are interested and would read all of the text and check the chapter fonts, etc, I’d appreciate it and will put a hold for you on it. It’s a nice little story. I’m so concerned about the small number of books on the queue. This afternoon there were less than fifty and a quarter of those were only good and truly not fit for most proofreaders to correct, or I should say not fit for me to proofread. I bet those scanners could improve with some instruction from some of our pros if they are interested in working with mentors. That left a scant thirty books for proofers to select. I’m looking forward to someone helping Little Elizabeth’s story find its way into the collection. Thank you. Always with love, Lissi
