Depends on who uploaded them. If it's the same person which was the case with the book that started this discussion, the books would most likely either be even or the second would be an improvement. In the case where two different uploaders put up the same book, you'd right, of course.

Well, I beg to differ, Gary. Just suppose the older file is a fair qualityscan, and the more recent one is of excellent quality. A human needs to download and compare the two submissions. The system cannot evaluate thiscorrectly. Conversely, the fair quality may be the best one if there are alot of foreign words and phrases in the submission, but it does need to be checked. We want the highest quality possible for bookshare.
