I have one right now, and it's a real bear. The print must be old on it too or something. What would take me a day or two if I haven't read the book is gonna take me loads of time and it's a tiny book wow. This probably is the toughest scan I've had yet but the book will well be worth it, if I ever get it done *smile* ----- Original Message ----- From: Jamie Yates, CPhT To: Bookshare Volunteers Sent: Thursday, September 10, 2009 9:42 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Don't Call Me Katie Rose Finally, I am done with Don't Call Me Katie Rose. I feel like it should be titled Don't Scan Katie Rose. It was such a tough scan. I forced myself to finish it tonight just because I am tired of looking at it! The book is so old, the pages are dirty, the finding is sewn where I can see the sewing which means the words are really close to the binding and I had to be so careful in scanning to get all of the page or it would get lost in the middle. The print is horrible, too many c's look like e's, the punctuation all wanted to scan with letter space punctuation. Just a warning for whoever wants to proofread it. I doubt it's going to be an easy proofread. I did as much work to it as I could stand to do. -- Jamie in Michigan Currently Reading: Bare Bones by Kathy Reichs See everything I've read this year at: www.michrxtech.com/books.html
