hmm. My suggestion re the diary entries would be to use italics but to indicate who wrote what, perhaps by putting the person's name and then a colon before the entry, e.g., Denise: Dear Diary or Cindy: Today was a terrible day I don't know ow to italicize in gmail, smile re the page numbers.
