Lucky bookshare readers--I'm still number 7 on the
waiting list at one library, and myh other library
doesn't even have the book in the catalog. I can't
imagine why, since she's such a poopular offer. I'm
going in tomorrow and will ask.

In the meantime, I have other things to read. I've
Started M.M.Kaye's Death in Zanzibar. She's a
wonderful historical novelist--Far Pavilions is one of
my all-time favorite books, and Trade Winds was also
good. There's another I haven't read yet. The term
multi-textured describes Far Pavilions very well.

But Deat in Zanzibar isn't that well written,
comparatively, and not as good as the Perry books,
IMO. I gather it was written before Trade Winds--maybe
it's one of her early works and her mysteries get
