I do all my books that way for the same reasons. How would you find the information on the back cover and flap if you did it otherwise?

I always put the info from the inside flaps and/or the back cover right at the beginning. Then people know what the book is about right away. After all, in the case of a paperback, a sighted person can just flip the book over to read the blurb, and in the case of most hardcovers, simply turn over the front cover to read it. You have to go further into the book to even get to the title page; so it seems reasonable to put that stuff before the title page. And of course, a Bookshare reader will know the title before opening the file, so again, it's reasonable to put that stuff first.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Cover Information

Hi-

Is it okay to have information from the front cover summarizing a
book placed before the title in the file, or should the title
always be at the very top? I have two books checked out, and they
both have this done differently. Not sure if the placement
matters. Also, should the front cover material be placed within
brackets?

Thanks,
