Hey you all, I am getting ready to submit Clear and Present Danger by Baynard Kendrick. is the last Duncan Maclain mystery. The copy I have isn't bad for an old book, but there are four or five spots, where a line or two gets garbled. Wasn't the scanner's fault, the rest of the book was beautiful. Now... why am I writing about this. Two reasons. 1. I don't have the book anymore. 2. A rescan of the pages won't net better results. Is there anyone who could get access to the book? I can send the pages and the "sentences" I need fixing, is usually only a word or two or three or maybe six, but is it. Looks like that was a particularly badly yellowed part of the page or something. Besides that, it is an excellent copy, with all chapters and pages accounted for. I may try to check the "old" copy and see if I can glean what I need from it, but am of course hopeful, smile. All else fails I can wait till I get back to Western and IL the book again and have someone look at it. But if anyone can help, visually verify things that would be wonderful. smile. Shelley L.
