It is my understanding that the conversion tool eliminates all blank lines, so
the asterisks are to retain blank lines, that is, lines with no text. If
nothing was put on the line, the tool would eliminate it.

Hi Valerie and other friends,
Putting three asterisks is a new thing, yes. Also, I thought that we were
supposed to âprotectâ chapter headings with a blank line before and after the
headings. What are we supposed to do now?

Is the three asterisks a new thing? I was not aware of that and did not do it
in my Kay Tracey paperbacks. I hate getting things wrong! I can fix it while
I still have the book, if so; I think I remember which one it was...

Hi Laura,

Vivian is correct, please leave it as is and add the three asterisks!

I also had one where the chapter started on a middle of the page, but it was
that way in the book. What I did was separate it by using the 3 asterisks.
