Does anyone know if there's a way to go directly to the place that has
this description in a Daisy audio book, or will I have to listen to
the whole book from the start and then find the right place in the

the cartoon has a caption above or below it, you can put that in a
separate set of brackets with "cartoon caption:" at the beginning of it.
If the cartoon has text balloons represent what characters in the
cartoon say, I'd put those in the description, not as a caption. And
just to be clear, I put the phrases you use in quotes so they are
separated from the rest of the sentence. You don't put "image
description:" at the beginning of the description, just image
description: without quotes.
