Right, but when doing the Braille translation process I was talking about, the format code the Braille translator used was dollar sign-p that is the dollar sign and the letter p run together. Since the file was not yet translated into Braille, it could hardly be the ed sign. In computer Braille, the dollar sign looks the same as the ed sign.

No it is not a dollar sign. ed p is a end of line marker. ed sign alone is the dollar sogn.
