Hi, Yes the down side is that you must despine the book, but ask Nancy Hill 
about her optic-book, if I remember her purchase, before you accept it! And 
yes the 2580 is the replacement for the 2080 which I also have. Are you 
using the newest driver? It's capture perfect 3, I think. Tom
