I’m pretty sure the tilde will translate correctly in braille.
I can’t recall the last time I saw it, (probably in a long web address in some
book or other), but I think it will show up okay.
Certainly if I am mistaken, someone will chime in here to straighten me out.

That's true unless it is in a web site, when it is written in computer
braille and is dots 2-3-4-5.
