Yes, thank you for sending this. Now I would like to know if the new
standards have been compiled and posted somewhere, so I can start learning
braille again. I'd like to know something about it before it goes in to new
transcribing software and thus appears in something I need or want to read.

Someone was saying they didn't think sighted people would put up with their
language being changed. I just wanted to say that it has happened to
people. My husband tells me that some committee got the bright idea to
"simplify" spelling in the Dutch language. Of course only children just
starting to read and spell have changed. Adults just continue to use the
same old spelling they used to, so everybody has to deal with two spelling
systems.
Now if any language needs a spelling revamp it is English, not English
braille. hehehe
I wouldn't mind having to relearn if I was convinced the new was better, but
I am afraid it might not be if it takes up more space. How can it be
cheeper to produce if it takes up more pages? And if nemeth code is more
efficiant for math, then there really is a problem, because nemeth is really
not a compact code. I really hope it does some good, since we'll all be
stuck with it, and they have spent 13 years working on it.
